Trippi Alternative for Live Meeting Translation (2026)
Trippi and SidebySpeak are both no-bot Chrome overlays for Zoom, Meet and Teams. SidebySpeak is the better Trippi alternative when you need your own microphone translated too, not only the meeting tab.

Looking for a Trippi alternative? Trippi and SidebySpeak both add live translated captions to Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams in your browser, with no bot joining the call. Month-to-month hour allowances are almost the same. The useful difference is what each one listens to: SidebySpeak can caption the meeting and your microphone; Trippi captions the meeting tab only.

Sources for those prices: SidebySpeak pricing and Trippi's US price feed. The ladders match hour for hour; stickers are within a dollar at each tier. That is not a reason to switch by itself.
Why the microphone matters
Both tools hear the meeting from the browser tab. SidebySpeak can also turn on your microphone, so what you say appears in your bilingual captions. You can share those captions through an encrypted live link without adding anyone to the call (SidebySpeak homepage, Zoom compare). Leave the mic off if you only want to follow others.
Trippi does not caption your microphone. Alone on a call, it has nothing to show until someone else speaks — which matches its Chrome Web Store FAQ.
Both need the meeting in a Chrome or Edge tab. Neither captures the Zoom desktop app; join from the browser (or use the platform's own captions when the host's plan allows).
Try SidebySpeak for both sides of the conversation
SidebySpeak gives you the same no-bot browser setup and matching translation-hour allowances, plus optional microphone translation. Follow the meeting privately, or turn on your mic and share translated captions of what you say through a live link.
